One of the most important demands of the early years, care and education that offer young children a quality care and education to operate effectively. Early childhood education has become formalized in its processes and entrepreneurial in mode, particularly in the urban and middle-class centers. Centers for pre-school children are necessary particularly because the entrance of more women into the workforce creates a need for places where their children can be safe and given some education while the parents are at work. However, these centers should ot be made an excuse for parents to abdicate their responsibility for child care and nurturance, and for making early childhood education a commercial activity. Children with special needs may require individual learning programmed for a part of the session in center. A Child Day care center, group child care home and family child day care home and group child day care home are center for children. For these reasons, it is proposed that early childhood centers be organized community or neighborhood centers to be staffed by a minimum number of professional arly childhood educators with maximum help from parents who should take turns serving these community or neighborhood daycare centers. In opening a daycare center it needs the quality care and education that should be available to all children if their parents wish it. To deliver a high quality service and the the important that all reflect on their practice so that they can acknowledge how things have gone and whether there is room for improvement. A good starting point is to examine the principles which is part of the early years, Care and education. The welfare of the child ( the children must come first) in managing children’s challenging behavior. The child care and education should emphasize the positive aspects of behavior and physical punishment must never be used. Children’s learning and development (children need activities) which will stimulate their social, physical, intellectual, emotional, and moral development by careful observation of the child. Keeping children safe to ensure that the setting is safe for the children and the prevention of accidents and the protection of health. Planning is basically determining development goals, policies and plans; and setting, procedures and strategies needed to achieve the purposes. In the preparation of the plans, social economic and development administration programs are formulated separately within the context of policies. It deals with goals, setting process, environment, role, and budgeting. On another viewpoint, is seen on decision-making, information and the future. The process by which the guiding members envision its future and develop the necessary procedures and operations to achieve that future. In terms of identifying riorities and interests the important factor to achieve is the operational, efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of the service ( the needs of the community). As we plan, the level of minimum standard must be observed to guarantee a Certain level such as facilities, staff, curricular content, utilization of space and time, procedures and financing schemes. These standards can be achieved through the conduct of survey, studies, operations research and cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness analyses. Steps in planning like goal-setting, information, policy, programs, implementation nd evaluation but the development planning consist of situational analysis, goal/objective/target setting, policy/strategy formulation, program/project identification, investment program, budgeting, implementation and monitoring evaluation and plan update. The situational analysis requires the conduct of survey and research studies. Gathering of demographic, economic, physical and others. A survey of undertaken Indicating past and present performances, programs and projects, manpower, budget and buildings, facilities and equipment. After that setting of goals, objectives and targets. A goal is a broad statement of an image of the future that seeks to achieve. And objective, the expectation which is pursued to satisfy the goal target, flowing out of the objective is the most specific statement of purpose which is measurable and achievable. Once the broad goals, objectives and target are framed, more specific policy statements and strategies are formulated for each area of concern as to social, economic and development administration aspects. The plan is basically a guide for any future decisions affecting the growth and development of the center. The Vision is the act of power of seeing an ideal state through mental acuity or foresight that a man or institution intends to accomplish (Kaufman et al. ,2002). It should be conceptually ideal, unitarily and purposively focused, and foremost should be intellectually challenging and exciting. The vision spells out in broad terms the role of the center. To specify what it intends to do and become considering the social, cultural, economic factors in the community. In vision we shared beliefs and values, impact from the environment, and attainment from future time. The Mission is a statement of philosophy of purpose for which it is created (Kaufman et al. , 2002). And goal as a desirable future condition which strives to achieve. It is normally broad in scope and long-term in its perspective. A goal dovetails the vision and mission of the organization or institution. To formulate the goals remember the clear statement about what the customer or client needs, who are the clients, and how plans to go about. The Objective is a specific description of an end result to achieve. It is a Translation of the broad goal into a set of more specific and concrete objective. The Translation of the goals into program objectives in terms of program offerings, research Services, extension and continuing education services, development services, income generation, capital outlay, and general administration. The Target is a more specific expression in quantifiable and measurable terms of what is intended to be accomplished. The specific end result, a target date and period; and the individual responsible and accountable in the accomplishment of the activity. The Policy and Strategy Formulation is a planning process about the rules and Decisions have been arrived to meet the goals and objectives. A policy is a purposive course of action or decision which is commonly set and perceived to be socially desirable to the great number of people. While strategy is the method or approach undertaken to accomplish goals, objectives and targets. The Program and Project Identification refers to the functions and activities Necessary for the performance of a major purpose for which it is established and Covering the activities that result in the accomplishment. Like support service, manpower training, curriculum development, extracurricular activities, production materials, eaching aids, technologies, improvement of the building and equipment. The Investment Programming is a phase in the planning process that resolves the activities need to be done with the greatest result. Formulated goals, objectives, targets and strategies in the development plan are translated into concrete, specific and implementable programs and projects packaged into the development investment program. Investment programming is the process of rational listing of programs and projects planned to be undertaken within a given time frame for the purpose of enhancing he process of asset and capital accumulation for some anticipated future benefits. This entails a systematic identification, preparation, selection , scheduling or phasing of programs and project given conditions of resource scarcity. The investment program serves as the basis for programs and projects that are considered in the preparation of the annual action plan and corresponding budget estimates. The Budgeting, this phase of the planning process resolves the money and fund available or allowable for the program, project or activity. Budgeting is one of the universal human experiences. All of us are faced with the problem of reconciling what we want with what we can afford. Every organization or institution must face the problem of balancing needs and desires. But the greatest problem arises when the resources are limited but needs and aspiration are sharply rising. Proper budgeting is important. The Implementation, this phase of the planning process how the plan executed, who are the responsible, how to determine the plan. It is an act of carrying out the plans, Programs and projects in accordance with the strategic plan in order to attain the set goals and objectives. The General Requirements for opening a Day Care Center are Certificate of compliance or certificate of registration, Application, Training requirements, Staff requirements, Director, Group Supervisor, Aide, Staff child ratio, Staff persons, Physical site, Program requirements, individual assessment and program, Caring and qualified staff, safe, clean facility, established rules and policy, and Complete schedule of activities. In opening a Day care Center it should be careful through out and need a research process. In daycare children help grow and develop their skills while also having fun. Good centers have a mix of activities that will teach different skills, projects that lead to Creativity, storytelling, dancing and singing and help the child learn instead of just Playing all day. Children also get to socialize with other children which they would not to Do as often if they were at home with a nanny. Finally, the centers are more stable and consistent than nannies because the center will watch your child even if a teacher is sick.

It is in fact better if we are able to make our products become part of the customers’ culture itself. This is because doing so may not only translate to higher sales upon our entry to the market but, also, to a good amount of loyal customers. The more you position a product as if it is part of the customers’ daily lives, the more they would use it, the more they would demand for it. This may be great news for the entrepreneurs out there but is it also great news for the market that they are trying to penetrate? Coca-cola is one of the companies that I admire in terms of their marketing strategies. In my opinion, they are one of the companies that best produce advertisements and promos that fit consumer interests. I am often amazed how they manage to tweak various situations and events and put Coke in the picture to become part of our lives. I commend them for being so effective in making us feel what they want us to feel. On the contrary, I dislike them for being able to do so. Coca-cola’s ability to effectively deliver messages through certain media also gives them the power to influence numerous people just in a few moments. That saying, it would only take Coca-cola or any other firm a few moments to change a part of our lives somehow the way they want to without us knowing. The 1950s commercial of the company in the Philippines clearly showed us various things about the country, the Filipinos, our culture, and how their product became part of us. It was reflected in the advertisement how the entry of foreign entities gradually changed our way of doing things. We became more civil in the eyes of the foreigners; however, we’ve became rude for forgetting a part of our culture. The tail of the letter â€Å"C† was shaped like that of a dagger and was pointed to the heart of the old man. The Coca-cola background shows how the Western companies have dominated us in a way that we are unaware of. They have become bigger and managed to penetrate our land and countrymen without us noticing it immediately. They showed us how better off we are and will be with them operating in our lands as they said in the commercial. The only difference now is that these foreign entities were able to restructure their strategies and sugar coated their way to us. The coming in of these foreign firms and other entities is like a dagger to us, our culture, and our country because although we could say that we are improving economically speaking; we are placed in a situation that endangers our identity as a Filipino citizen. Then she would never trust in him again and feel ignorant for believing in John in the first place. If she stands by John for too long and he starts to fall under the pressure she will go down with him and be seen as outcasts from Salem. Some of her other strengths are that she is very honest, and even though she is portrayed as a cold woman, she has strong feelings for John and her children. When she says things like I mean to please you, John, you can tell that she is really a tender loving person, but their marriage has been facing a few problems over the years. One of her weaknesses is that she tries to take charge of some of the situations which is good, but when it is involving her husband and her trials then she can begin to become more forceful. This side of her is shown when she says and what of tomorrow? She will cry me out until they take me! John on the other hand has different strengths because his character is very strong and forceful in some ways but in other ways he becomes very weak. These are normally to do with his affair with Abigail; he still loves her although he does not want to love her. This relationship between John Proctor and Abigail causes Proctor many times in the play to hesitate taking action in clearing the good names of the many townspeople that Abigail has accused as being linked with the Devil . These weaknesses will show when he is trying to get Elizabeth out of prison and must admit to the court about his secret relationship with Abigail, this in itself will make him an outcast and would signal his downfall as well as Elizabeths. He has many strengths though because of he is the only person in the play who can see that the girls are just making this up. He can tell that what the people are saying is for their personal satisfaction, such as the Putnams with their children being supposedly killed. Even though he is the only character that acts this way he doesnt testify until the end of the play because he does not want to disgrace his name. The relationship between John and Elizabeth Proctor is very distant; this is mainly because of the affair with Abigail and John Proctors lechery. In there relationship you have a distinct feeling that they are both trying to praise each other and give all they can to the other one. Elizabeth Proctor is a very honest woman and stays by John even in the midst of his adulterous affair. Although Elizabeth is portrayed as cold and aloof at times, she is a dedicated and devoted wife and mother. The fact that she loves her husband becomes obvious when she is brought into the court to verify John Proctors affair with Abigail. She wants to protect him from being punished for adultery and for that reason lies. You can also see this loving relationship in John when he tells Elizabeth I mean to please you Elizabeth, and she replies I know it John. This shows that they really do love each other, but because of the affair Elizabeth feels as if she cannot trust John yet. This is why they do not share their love physically but more verbally in the play. There is love between the two and even after all that has happened they still live with each other, although you have to question whether John is doing this so no to lose his reputation in the village which he cares so deeply about. Also the laws about marriage and divorce in Salem, Massachusetts were very strict and if these two wanted to separate they would have to explain why because the puritans believed that marriage was binding and should last as long as they lived. Their marriage is real although they are going through some rough times and a separation would have seemed easier to deal with. These two people have stayed together to help each other but they are also helping their own image in the town by keeping this quiet. Although it doesnt stay this way throughout the play and near the end when the secret comes out they stand by each other and try to help each other as much as they can. 3. In Act two there are many parts were you feel sympathetic for both John and Elizabeth Proctor. This is because you learn more about their past and find out what has happened in their lives. This is a technique that Arthur Miller uses a lot in the play to describe the characters and to give the reader or actor more information about the person in general. Elizabeth is normally given more sympathy because she is the victim in her husbands affair. John is seen as a hero and given admiration but this is only because he is trying to save his husband and wants the rest of the people to be released. Some would sympathise for him because of the way he has to risk his reputation in saving all these people. Even though it is his fault for getting into the situation in the first place by having the affair, but if the affair was never found out then the consequences would be very different. Miller has tried to make people sympathise for John more by changing Johns age from 60 to 30 and Abigails age from 11 to 17 as to not make people think he is somewhat a paedophile. There is some admiration for Elizabeth as well because she takes control of the scene and stands up to John about Abigail and how she has been talked about in the court. John loses some of his control and his is not really sympathised because he could stop all these people going to prison and being hung. He is somewhat cowardice and vain because he only cares about his reputation if the town finds out what happened between him and Abigail. I think that the reader would be more sympathetic towards Elizabeth because she is being targeted by Abigail and even though she has support from John he is not going to tarnish his name by telling the people of Salem about his actions with Abigail. Both the political and social situation in Nigeria is dire. The commonfolk are oppressed and live in squalor, again painfully ironic considering just how rich and blessed the land was in her earlier years in this century. The extensive oil exploration and eventual access to the source of oil not only caused a physical blemish on the face of the earth, it stained everything that came into contact with it. The air was bad, the land dotted with pipes, significant spillage abounded, and everything looked bleak. However, the real damage was in the conscience and consciousness of the people, from the tyranny of the perpetrators of power and the murderers of those who went against them, to the greed and heavy regard for material wealth by the ruling elite and their goons, and also to the Shell executives who can disregard their involvement in hastening the demise of a people and exploitation at once both moral and monetary in nature. This river is over 2,000 miles long reaching from the southern Rocky Mountains to the end of Texas. Many people depend on this river as a source of drinking water for them. In the Lower Rio Grande Valley this river receives a lot of agriculture due to all the farmlands and is also used by many people for recreation purposes. Additionally, this river provides a home to much wildlife. Due to an increase in the economic growth and rapid population in the surrounding cities, the Rio Grande has had a tremendous increase in pollution that has caused a negative impact on the surrounding environment. Furthermore, the American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) has severely impacted the river causing it now to become the seventh most endangered river in the United States (Flynn 2000). Scientific studies have confirmed that the contamination/pollution of the Rio Grande still poses a prob lem (Garcia et al. 2001, Berry et al. 1997 a b, Mendoza et al. 2004, Mora et al. 2001, Rios-Arana et al. 2003). Since these arising circumstances the river endures problems of run-off pollution, discharging of polluted water, over-pumping and the release of millions of gallons of raw sewage by Mexico which clearly defines a present danger to the surrounding environment. Such negative effects have been linked to border health issues and have been attributed to wildlife defects and deaths. For example, in 1994 a young boys death was linked to swimming in the Rio Bravo. The cause of his death was traced to an amoeba which was found in the river water that can cause deadly brain infections. In 1994, the United States and Mexican governments completed a study regarding the presence of toxic substances in the Rio Grande/Rio Bravo between Mexico and the U.S. During a three year period, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) got involved and completed phase two of this study ending in 1997. Results from the study identified an increase in chemical pollution in the river which then led to identifying Laredo, TX as a pollution trouble location (U.S. EPA 2007). The major pollutants observed to have significantly increased over the years in the Rio Grande were heavy metals and pesticides (Garcia et al. 2001, Berry et al. 1997 a b, Mendoza et al. 2004). In general it seems that some segments of the Rio Grande along the US-Mexico border do pose potential health and/or reproductive harm for wildlife and fish that depend on this river for survival along with the humans that eat fish from those segments (Mora et al. 2001). In 2001, Mora et al. (2001) conducted a study in the Texas, USA-Tamaulipas, Mexico border region to investigate the contamination of pesticides in fish from Texas. Results showed that pesticides were present in fish where concentrations were reported to be significantly greater than data collected during the 1980s and 1990s. The presence of heavy metals in the Rio Grande has continued even up to the year 2003. In 2003, a study performed by Rios-Arana et al. (2003) confirmed the presence of heavy metals in the water and sediment of the Rio Grande in the area of El-Paso-Juarez. In this study, they found that zinc and lead surpassed the freshwater chronic criteria set by the EPA. Again, this study emphasizes that elevated heavy metal concentrations in the river can post significant harm to the health, survival and reproduction of organisms (Rios-Arana et al. 2003). Furthermore, in 2004 a study conducted by Mendoza et al. (2007) examined the microbial contamination and chemical toxicity of the Rio Grande for a 112 km segment of the Rio Grande between Fort Hancock, TX and Sunland Park, NM. Their results showed the presence of fecal coliform and E. coli in the river. This study suggests that chemical toxicity applies for most sites along that segment which leads to a concern of water quality in those sections. However to date, the year 2007, Carlos Rubinstein, Rio Grande watermaster and area director for Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Region 15, stated that the situation in the Rio Grande is improving. Rubeinstein mentioned Weve had infrastructure improvements on both sides of the river and those will clearly assist in water quality. He then goes on and says that the rivers water quality is influenced by many elements and that the U.S. can only control part of those elements. Rubeinstein states that wastewater dumping in Mexico, and agricultural runoff still contributes to the pollution problem in the Rio Grande. TCEQ suggests that in the Gulf, dissolved-oxygen levels (water quality parameter) have showed some improvement over the years from 1996 to now (McEver 2007). On the other hand, a study conducted by Buelna and Riffat (2007) suggests that there is still a need for constant monitoring in the Rio Grande in order to keep track of the environmental status since results from their study still showed high levels of contamination. Igbo Government and Social Structure Details of traditional Igbo government and social structure varied from place to place throughout the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, but its characteristic nature remained the same. The basic unit of Igbo life was the village group, and the most universal institution was the role of the family head. This was usually the oldest man of the oldest surviving generation. His role primarily involved settling family disputes, and because he controlled the channel of communication with the all-important ancestors, he commanded great respect and reverence. In some areas the government of chiefs and elders was composed of a governing age grade, in others the council of elders was made up of the oldest members of particular families. Titles played a major part in this society. There was a hierarchy of ascending titles that were to be taken in order, accompanied by an ascending scale of payments. The system acted as a simple form of social security, in that those who acquired titles paid a particular fee, and then were entitled to share in the payments of those who later acquired titles. A series of intense rituals were to be undertaken before acquiring a title, which was considered a symbol of character as well as of success. A titled man’s life was dominated by numerous religious restrictions, and it was expected that these would be strictly adhered to. A few Igbo states, such as Aboh and Onitsha, which had a tradition of origin from elsewhere, were ruled by kings, which were regarded as sacred and lived in ritual seclusion. However, the decisions taken by these kings were by no means final, they were often challenged and overruled by other titled men with whom they were required to consult. In general, h owever, kingship was an unfamiliar concept to the majority of Igbos. A political institution that was widespread but not universal was that of the age-grade. Each age-grade was responsible for specific areas of community service, and this often promoted rivalry between the groups. This was actually a valuable instrument of social control, in that in order to preserve the good name of their age-group, its members became involved in disciplining and restraining those who tended to cause trouble within the community. Secret societies were also an instrument of social control. Their members would appear at night, masked, in the guise of supernatural beings. Any offenders in the community would be denounced.

"As do other artistic forms, music and dance reflect cultural and social organization. Cultural values can be conveyed in the words of a song, and the performance of a song or a dance is dependent on the social context" (Womack 226). Music and instruments are of great significance in many places world wide. For example, the BaMbuti foragers from Africa's Ituri rain forest have an instrument which they call the molimo which looks like an extremely long pipe. The men of the BaMbuti culture are the owners of the molimo and behave as if it is alive. Women and young boys are forbidden any contact with the molimo, because of its importance in male initiation rites (Womack 226).
